Last night we saw Yo La Tengo preform at Asbury Hall. It was an incredible show although there were some moments when I thought I was back in Philly in 1968 listening to Blue Cheer at the Electric Factory. One of the many highlights of the night was their encore version of Sun Ra's Nuclear War.

A Shout in the Ruins

Enjoyed reading this remarkable novel about race and southern culture in the 100 years following the Civil War but it is unfortunate how much of that crap is still going on today. No wonder people are taking a knee.

I also wanted to hear it again after recently reading Graham Nash's autobiography and seeing him perform down at Asbury Hall.

I had seen Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young previously in Chicago in 1970 and Philadelphia in 1974 but not since.

Glass of Beer - Infinitely Drinkable

Glass of Beer: 8 Days A Week. It says "Infinitely Drinkable" on the can and that is absolutely true. This wonderful blonde ale from Southern Tier Brewing,  NY has recently become a go to beer that everyone loves to drink. It's also nice that it comes in 8 packs for the price of a regular six pack.

I gave it 4 stars in Untappd.

Vinyl Spins: It's always a good time to go upstairs and play some live Bob Marley and the Wailers. This live album from 1975 is probably my favorite live album of all time. I was fortunate to see him play while visiting Buffalo NY for the first time in May 1976 at the downtown Century Theater.
