Back in the Day

This is what I called "The Jungle" when I was a young kid. It was a special place. The overgrown edge of a public park where I roamed through the paths of the underbrush. This is what it looks like today. Not exactly as I remember it.

I bought this album in early 1968 shortly after it was released. Since this was an early pressing my copy has the fancy 3D lenticular cover art. Very cool.

I gave this album a listen to today and it stills holds up very well.

I think I was expecting an album that was going to sound like the first single... She's A Rainbow. I really liked the songs 2000 Light Years From Home and 2000 Man and have continued to use them in mixes over the years.
